In constructing thia unit it is very im- pertant that oniy the very best ma- terial available be used. The results ob- tained with poor apparatus are not worth even the small cost of the parts used. The input and output transformers the heart and soul of the unit, and the results obtained from the unit are in direct ratio to the quality of these in- struments, Results after a fashion can be ob- tained with the small UV-199 tubes, but these are not recommended: firet, be- cause they are not built for this type of service, which requires greater sturdi- ness and the ability to stand up under Hour. ort w WEAF Use No Paint in Radio Receiver.
