So John Colton, 52, who says that he used to be a show- man, had to arrest himself last night. He walked into the Butler street station shortly before mid- night and asked to be taken into custody on a charge of vagrancy. Finally the policemen consented, and Colton was transferred to the Poplar street station and locked up for the night. First, however, he was given a hot meal. He sald that he had asked several police- men to arrest him, but thev had veminded him that it was Christ- mas and had urged him to cheer up. (Copyright.) = EX-CHIEF IS HONORED.
