GENEVA, May 3.—Eleven countries already have permanent displomatic representatives to the league of na- tions, and with the recent decision of Brazil to appoint an ambassador here, the question is being asked at Geneva whether in the future with the constantly increasing activities of the league there will not be gradual shifting of the diplomatic corps from Bern to Geneva. The impression exists among some diplomatic agents that the Swiss gov- ernment does not look with pleasure upon the tend now in evidence for diplomatic representatives ac- credited to Switzerland to take up their domicile at Geneva instead of Bern. This movement, if further em- phasized, would naturally tend to les- sen the Importance of the Swiss cap- ital and give to Geneva a diplomatic sreltlro at the expense of official witzerland The position of the Swiss govern- mentment is that it has nothing to sky whatsoever concerning the action of foreign governments in designat- ing diplomatic representatives to the league of nations.
