Qet complete information from your local steamahip agent or UNITED STATES LINES It was thirty-five years agoin the quiet old city of St. Augustine, Florida, that people began to _AsKk Mr. Foster about travel. I do not know why they " .came to my modest stationery shop for information unless it was because they found me willing to answer as I knew and earnest to find out if I did not know. During all these years the people who have been associated with me in this work of telling people where and how to go and in helping them to travel comfortably and intelligently have made the business successful as they have come to love their work and to develop enthusiasm in it. And now there are fifty-four JAsk Mr. Foster Travel Informa- tion Offices, with more being opened nearly every month. ‘The women who operate these offices are happy in their work, they have joy in service, their enthusiasm is unfailing and to them is due the larger share of the credit for the development of this service and for such measure of success in its accomplishment as has been achieved. Two million people visited the JSAsK Mr. Foster offices last year. Trips were planned for nearly a hun- dred and fifty thousand persons. Trans- portation tickets were purchased to the value of more than a million and a quarter of dollars. Offices are maintained in forty-cight cities and resorts in the United States and Canada. The service extends from Seattle to Miami, from Portland, Maine, to San Diego. The men and women of this service traveled last year more than three hundred and fifty thousand miles securing information made available in all of our offices for those who Ask Mr. Foster They toured all parts of the United States and Canada, Alaska and the National Parks, Hawaii and the Orient. They visited South America and Jamaica, Bermuda and Cuba and the Bahamas. Five of them toured different parts of Europe. This organization of more than a hundred persons has one purpose which is to provide in every JTsk Mr. Foster office, definite, reliable and all comprehensive informa- tion about travel everywhere and about schools and camps and to give such service as will make it possible to secure in this ome office all the information needed by the prospective traveler, with advice and help in planning the journey, given by one who is thoroughly inter- ested in securing for the inquirer the most of comfort and satisfaction from his trip. THE SUMMER VACATION — Now about your summer vacation! It is none too early to plan for it A TRIP ABROAD—Is it to be a trip abroad, a Cruise or Tour either con- ducted or taken independently or with friends? The different routes and tours should be compared and plans formu- lated so as to secure satisfactory ship accommodations. _fl.rk Mr. Foster STEAMSHIPS. TO ALASKA—Is it to be, say, a trip to Alaska? The steamship service is limited and many had to give up their plans last year for lack of accom- modations. _Ask Mr. Foster ON A WESTERN RANCH — Have you considered a few weeks or the summer on a western ranch? Every year this sort of a vacation grows in popularity. On any one of a dozen real ranches in Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Dakota, New Mexico, Arizona, California or in the Pacific Northwest; one can live the true ranch life in the open, free from hampering conventionalities, with wholesome food, a good bed, a horse and outdoor life and ,freedom. Rates are moderate, about $50 a wecek, including a horse, or say $30, and pay for horse as used. At some ranches there are arrangements for camping trips of days or weeks to Indian Villages or in the National Parks. Ask Mr. Foster THE NATIONAL PARKS — Nineteen of them in the United States and others in Canada offer attractions in scenery and opportunities for study in archeology and in all the natural sciences with the health-giving enjoy- ment of our-of-door life. The rates for travel and entertain- ment are most reasonable, and in the national forests are free camping sites. JAsKk Mr. Foster MOTOR TOURING — The S5k Mr. Foster service supplies information for motor tours and about hunting and fishing trips. There are to be had here literature and information of resorts and hotels everywhere in this country and throughout the world. Ask Mr. Foster A SUMMER CAMP FOR THE BOY OR GIRL—The sclection of the summer camp for your boy or girl is an important matter. It is none too egrly to give this attention. At the AsKk Mr. Foster offices may be tound lists of camps we know to be well conducted by responsible people—in New England or in the Rocky Moun- tains, in California or Wsiconsin or Canada, we recommend only those we know to be well managed. In New Mexico is a camp where each boy has a horse for himself. There are pack trips in the National forest. The boys are taught woodcraft and visit the ancient cave dwellings. J/Isk Mr. Foster NEARBY arc hundreds of resorts by stream or lake or in the hills and prices to suit all purses. Here is in- formation of all of them without charge or fee. SAsk Mr. Foster CONVENTIONS — Business, fra- ternal and social organizations find at the _Ask Mr. Foster offices definitc information of rates and accommoda- tions available in cities, resorts and at particular hotels in all parts of the coun- try with information also of climatic conditions and of the desirable routes and transportation charges—all free. AAsK Mr. Foster I have but suggested the scope of the AsKk Mr. Foster Service. Itis free, there are no charges, no fees are ever accepted. No matter where you want to go, no matter what you want to know about travel or schools or camps, you are cordially invited to AAsKk Mr. Foster He probably knows.
