INQUIRE ABOUT OUR DEFERRED PAYMENT PLAN Brief Bits of FurnitureHistory Queen Anne This period had its be- | ginning during the reign | of William and Mary, from 1702 to 1714, and is contemporaneous with the | latter part of the French period known as Louis | XIV. i William with his Dutch proclivities, came with his consort, Mary, and took possession of the English throne. He made it clear at the outset that he in- tended to be dictator, not- | withstanding the fact that his consort really had the stronger claim to the supreme control. Dutch furniture was im- ported into Englond by the shipload, and with it | came our inspirations for | that style which is some- times regarded a nctional growth cend proudly de- scribed as Queen Anne, in spite of the fact that the sovereign whose name is | used had obsolutelv noth- ing to do with its inception or subsequent development.
