Freeman, D. D., of the Episcopal Church in of Washington, will leave here tomorrow evening for Dallas, Texaw, to attend a wpeclal scsaion of the House of Blshops, which will meet there November 14. The rules of the Eplscopal Church require that misslonary bishops be appointed, transferred or removed only by action of a majority of all the bishops sembled In convention. Rt. Rev. Alexander C. Garrett, D. D., bishop of Dallas, is by right of seniority, the presiding bishop of the Eplscopal Church. This meeting s important because it will consider the resignation of Rishop Logan H Roots of Hankow, China, who has been elected presi- dent of a confederatton of Chinese Christian churches of all denomina- tions. There I8 some question as to the advisability of permitting Bishop Roots to accept this post. This will_be the first meeting of the House of Bishops in which Bishop Freeman has taken part. He will not, however, be the junior bishop, us Bishop Stirder of West Virginia, wus consecrated last week. _— DR. MUIR TO PREACH. “Meeting a Crisis” Topic at Tem- ple Baptist Church. Rev. Dr. J. J.
