NEWPORT NEWS, Va., February 6. —A tiny leak In a valve was the cause of the explosion in the helium plant at Langley Fileld Saturday morning, according to the report of an_official board of Inquiry, made public last night. ‘The tank which exploded, it was said, contained two compartments, one for hydrogen and the other for compress- FEBRUARY FURNITURE SALE ed alr. A leak in this valve, the board found, permit- ted the hydrogen to fliter into the compressed air chamber and the ex- plosion resulted, killing Benjamin Johnson, an engineer, and wrecking a portion of the helium purification plant.
