What can I see with all my eyes but gingham, gingham, everywhere? [ have lookea and looked at my pretty new dress. And all the little boys and little girls that I see are wearing patterns of my new gingham dress; the birds sing to me as I walk along in my new dress, and they have copied the plaids for their feathers. My little dog Mixie looks just like checks and stripes. All the world, in the trees and grass, is look ing to me like one big pattern of my new gingham dress. And the color in my eye from the looking I have done makes me see all the more beauty in the checks, and the stripes, and the plaids of my wonderful new DRESS. With a brush and plain water paint carefully between the lines to see the color appear. EDITOR’S NOTE—Look thru the entire book before coloring or making the cut-outs.
