Miss Buckler is the eldest daugh- ter of her parents and recelved the degree of master of arts from Ox- ford University, and served in a mili- tary hospital during the war, at which time her iather was attached to the United States embassy in Lon- don. Her mother was decerated by King George V- in Beptember, 1918, for her work during the/war at the “wounded and missing inquiry de- partment” of the British Red Cross.
