By the Associated Press. LONDON, September 22—Prem|er Lloyd George will receive the laborite mayors of the London boroughs at Gairloch, Scotland, Friday. A joint ¥ | committee representing all sections of the trades union congress and labor party is urging the premier to regeive a deputation on the subject of unem ployment, and immediately conv parliament for the purpose of discus: ing this subject. The convening of parliament also is urged by John Robert Clynes, former food controller,. in a letter to the N | speaker of the house of commons, with | the same object in view. Plans for the observance of ‘‘unem- ployment Sunday” on October 9 are be- \|ing perfected, and public meetings will be held in every locality throughout England to urge & national policy for the relief of people out of work. Deputations of the unemployed con- tinue to harass relief authorities, but these bodies have recently takem & more stern view of the demands made upon them. There was some disorder N[ outside a London police court yester- day, when several leaders of the un- employed were arraigned on a charge R of unruliness. Considerable rioting occurred in Ab- erdeen during the day, and the police charged upon a crowd following the appearange of the unemployed before N|the town council, which was nskefl to afford relief. John MacLean, the Glnsgow com- munist, was yesterday sent to trial on a charge of sedition. It was alleged he told the unemployed: “If you can- not get lood in a constitutional way, then take it.” THE WEATHER District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia—Fair tonight and tomorrow; no change intemperature; fresh south- west winds. ‘West Virginia—Fair tonight and tomorrow; no change in temperature.
