B. Moore, chief,chem- ist of the United States bureau of mines. 3 ‘The highly scientific treatment of disease by the use of radium, however, Mr. Moore says, is suc- cessful only when applied with the greatest skill. “All cancer cannot be cured, and it requires a skilled surgeon who thoroughly *understands’ the proper dosage In order tp get favorable results,” Mr. Moore states. At the present time the United States produces more radium all the rest of the world together. “From the beginning of the in- dustry in 1913 to January, 1921, approximately 115 grams of radium element have been produced in this country. Probably not more than forty grams have been recovered from foreign ores since the discov- ery. of radium by Mme. Curie.” Mr. Moore said that most of the domestic production of radium is from mines in Colorado. PUT UP LIBERTY BONDS.
