PERMIT TO EXAMINE WATER POWER PROJECT Roanoke River Development Com- pany to Locate at Clarks- ville, Preliminary permit has been grant- ed by the Federal Power Commission j for examination of a proposed power project by the Roanoke River De- velopment Company of Richmond, Va., to be located at Buggs Island, in the Roanoke River near Clarksville, Va. The company has two years in which, to investigate the proposed develop- ment, which is planned to consist of | a dam 60. feet high across the river and a power house located at the dam, by which 10,000 primary horse-power can be developed, as well as a sec- ondary development totaling proba- bly 50,000 horse-power.
