Jtalian - ambassador, tonight an- Dounced - establishment of traveling scholarships to encourage Italians in the United States to remember their mother tongue. Addressing a_dinner given in his honor by the Italian Chamber of Commerce, he said that these scholar- ships had been made possible through funds advanced by Italian bankers. Awarded Each Year. They will be awarded each year to sons of Italians or sons of those who have become American citizens who have shown the greatest diligence in the study of the language.
