Mediation Made Subject of Communica- tions Sent to Geneva. By the Associated Press. GENEVA, March 13.—The league of nations today published dispatches oxchanged between Panama and Costa Rica and Sir Eric Drummond. gen- eral secretary of the league, in which the two republics motified Sir Eric that they had accepted mediation by the United States in their frontier dispute and that hostilities have ceased. Sir Erie, in replying, expressed the pleasure of the council of the league of nations at the mediation of the United States, which. he said, seemed a good way of bringing about a set- tlenrent of difficulties of two mem- bers of the league of nations. Panama reiterates her refusal to recognize the decision of Chief Jus- tice White of the United States Su- preme Court in delimiting the fron- tier, and reserves the right to demand an indemnity for the expenses of de- fensive expeditions.
