FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla, Febru- ary 3.—Delayed by channel obstruc- tions, President-elect Harding’s house- boat Victoria pushed her way slowly northward in the Indian river today on the second leg of her cruise back to St. Augustine. An amendment to the sundry civil appropriation bill providing about $30.000,000 for the hospitalization of sick and disabled soldiers was intro- duoed in the Senate today by Senator Robinson of Arkansas. Fifteen mil- lion dollars is to become immediately available and the remainder is to be- ‘come available for the fiscal year be- ginning July 1. Senator Robinson addressed the Sen- ate in support of his amendment, de- claring that there is great need for providing additional hospital facilities to care for disabled soldiers. The Senate appropriations commit- tee has agreed to amend the sundry eivil bill to.provide for five additional ‘hospitals, which will be distributed in ical sections of the country.
