The Drama League of Washington is combining to make the occasion all the more delightful, and following the pres- entation of four short plays there will be a ball. Mrs. Albert Sidney Burleson, wife of the Postmaster General, is the author of “The Gift of the Magii,” a play based on the story by O. Henry and particularly suitable for the occasion. Mrs. John ‘Thompson’s play, “Pearls,” which is altogether charming and very ‘well cast, is another treat in store for the guests, and the other plays include Mr. Edward Goodman's “Eugenically Speaking” and “An Unlucky Star,” in which Miss Nancy Gordon Jones, Mra.
