Mr J.C Brent presented to the Association two interesting documents, one what purports to be the contof arms of the Ross family, of toss-Trever, County Down, Ireland, with nugmentations by roval tavor in honor of M4j. Geners! Koss, of Bladensburg and North Pou notortety. The document was found among the papers of the late Commodore Porter. The other is a certificate of the membership of Washington Boyd, Esq.,of the «Washington ‘Tribe of the Kickapoos,” a social organization exisung in Washington in 180%, whith was Signed by J. Laab as Secretary of the Tribe. Mr. F. Dorsett presented the original muster Toll of the Riflemen commanded by Capt. Jno. .J. Stull, during the war of 1812. In a very few weeks our City Fire Department will be tully supphed with new and hapdsome equipments, and a parade and inspection of the tall de- periment is talked of. Messrs. This ear- riage is bemmg painted red, with black and white stripes, and will make a very neat ap. pearance. The new truck for the Hook and Ladder Company has just been putin tervice by them. It was contracted for by Mr. ©. C. Langley. and is a neat and handsome piece of work. ti is intended for sx substantial ladders, from fiftteen to forty-five feet im length, and the necessary hooks, axes, and implements. A new and useful improvement. The iron work was done by Mr. Langley, the wood work by Mr Edward Haines, and the painting by Mr B. Donnelly. — Metuopist Reunion MEETING —Lasteven- 1BE. & very interesting Meeting was beld at ‘he new Foundry Oburch, it being a reunion meet- & of the former pastors and older members of se church. Among those present were Revs. t. of Balumore, B. P. Brown, B. New- ton wn, W.B. Edwards, J. R. Effinger, and Elisha Owen, within the altar: also, Rev. SP.
