Maggie has a beautiful repetvire of new pieces for this season, and not the least lovely among them is the Little Bare- foot, ig which she is at present making such a sensation. If flowers speak the language of the heart, she cannot be left in doubt as to the cor- ner she occupies in that of our play-going fel- low-citizens. The piece is admirably cast, and Miss Mitchell finds an elegant support in the persons of Messrs. Hall, Williams, Mrs. Chap- msn and others. The Little Barefoot will be Played acsin this evening. Lemon, who borrowed of John ©. Thomp- son money taken from Thomas Fraser at the house of a woman named Creveling, on Twelfth Street, went to the Third Ward Station and revurned forty dollars he had borrowed of ‘Thompson, one of the notes being identified as one o* those belonging to Fraser. The case, a notice of which was published in the Star, afier a hearing, was sent to court by Justice ‘Thompson, and the accused committed to jail. Mr. Lemon came to Washington to appear as @ witness before the grand jury, haviug seen the publication of the case while he was with the army.
