The old furniture now in use in the cafeteria will be used for sev- eral weeks until the new furniture arrives. The new cafeteria will be a splendid feature cf the new build- ing and will be welcomed by the teachers preparing the meals as well as the students, as the present quar ters are unhandy and crowded, The cafeteria wien completed will seat about 140 versons. The fixtures for the new auditor- jum have arrived and are being in- stalled rapidly. A. A. El Circulo Noventa held a meet- ing Wednesday, December 10, at the high school in the gymnasium. This was the Christmas meeting and there was a small tree and a present for everyone distributed by Santa Claus, who, since there wags no chimney to come down, instead came of a rope thrown over the balcony railing, The feature of the evening was a debate on the question, ‘Resolved, that there is a Santa Claus.” Mildred Luening and Irving Garbutt upheld the affirmative and Lucile Head and Gertrude Counts the nega. lve side of the question. The judges, Senor Carbonell, Mr. McRitl and Philip Edwards awarded the de- cision to the negative and presented the prize of a chocolate Santa Claus to them. Heaviest fall of snow was at Chey- enne but other parts of Wyoming suffered tn proportion. Casper had five inches on a level. Lander re- ported three and one-half inches of white banket, while Denver streets were covered with a layer five inches in depth. vs The blizzard seemed to increare In fury as it traveled southward. Sheridan in the extreme northern section of the state had only one and a half inches of snow, while Cheyenne had fourteen. The Lincoln highway along the southern Wyo- ming boundary has been reported choked with snow at many places. Warmer weather beginning Thurs- day removed much of the snow but really made conditions on the dirt highways worse as mud took the place of the white covering in all localities where gravel has not been used as surfacing. The Salt Creek road has been almost impassable in the daytime during the last few days, although nightfall has usually ‘ought colder ather and frozen REESE ee OTE < 5 33 the ground enough to make ‘traffic possible. - The worst road conditions in the state were reported from the stretch of state highway between Chugwater and Cheyenne. It is there that scores of motor wars were abandoned in order that occupants might reach their destination in safety. Highways in northern Wyoming are reported In fair condition although they. too are made somewhat dangerous and difficult by the presence of mud, Why not an Essex for Xmas SEE US BEFORE YOU BUY monds, Watches, Pearls, we re, Rings, Pins, Agates) ountings, Trunks, Hand- uit Cases, Some special offers in unre deemed diamonds in new mount- ings MONEY TO LOAN Casper Loan Office 9 SOUTH CENTER ST, NAY a Poultry Remedies Revence Lice Powder wil! sure clean your Poultry of this Pest WILLIAMS STOCK MEDIC Here is a Rea!
