Nebraska Farmer ‘Accidentally Shot’ Four Hours Before Policy Expired Greeley, Neb. Feb. 14.—(AP)—The death of a farmer four hours before his $20,000 insurance policy would have expired had resulted today in th~ arrest of his young tenant, bene- ficiary under the policy. When Fred Helser died Feb. 4, au- thorities accepted the story of his neighbor and tenant, A. W. Emery, phe Westminster show—the pup went jthat Hesler accidenially shot himself when the two were hunting. Later it was learned Helser and Emery each had taken out a $20,000 jife insurance policy two months be- fore, naming each other as bene- ficiary. Emery arranged for the Policies and paid the initial premium on both. Because of failure to keep up the Premiums, the policies were to expire at midnight, Feb. 4. Helser died at 8 o'clock that night. Emery had made no attempt to collect the $20,000 when arrested yesterday.
