Mr. Swover- land is a brother of Mrs. Baer. A. N. Drake of Minneapolis has been in Braddock and vicinity during the past week looking after his farming interests. Saturday shipped several carloads of stock to the cities and the same day returned by auto to Minneapolis. Homer Lamm accompanied him. Mr. Drake informed us that a family by the name of Ross from Wing is movin, on his farm southwest of town ‘and Mrs. Johner and family are moving onto one of the Drake farms near Linton. Warner Sempel of Braddock was united in marriage in Minneapolis this week to Miss Freda Mehrle of aetiees and they are now living at the Eat-Shop of which Mr. Sem- pel is proprietor. E. F. Savage was a passenger to Bismarck Saturday to take vsteo- path treatments on his arm which was injured last winter. The Ladies’ Aid society met at the home of Mrs. J. A. Allensworth Saturday afternoon at which the la- dies tied and finished up a quilt. After the usual routine of business a splendid lunch was served by the hostess. We are sorry to report that Mrs. Corey’s father, Mr. Pailing, is very low but Mr. Corey is slowly improv- ing, although he is not able to be at work yet. His daughter, Mrs. Glinville, of Wing, drove down Sat- urday to spend the week-end with her father. She returned home Mon- day morning. Floyd Campbell of Miller, S. D., arrived Sunday for a visit with his uncle, Geo. Sempel, and cousin Warner and wife. A fine baby girl was born Sunday, October 21, at the Bismarck hos- pital to Mr. and Mrs. P. V. Kurtz. Mrs. Kurtz was formerly Miss Lina Mandigo. Max Lee and sister Ruth are now living in the rooms lately occupied by Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Wendlantl.
