Refuses to Put Motions Made and De- clares Board Adjourned at His Own Sweet Pleasure. Matter Has Been Referred to the Gover- nor--Interesting Developments Are Expected. I's the beard of county commis- sioners adjourned? County Auditor Willman says he thinks it is but he is not sure. The board met yesterday after noon pur nt to adjournment from the morning s the matter of the petition of the Tenstrike Hardwood & [mprove ment Company for an abatement of taxes came up. Commissioner Sibley moved that the ol assessors be ins o T rike and investigate the matter so that the board could act intelligently on the petition. This motion Chairman Danaher of the board refused to put. The members of the board sat in their seats from shortly after two o’clock untilnearly six o’clock npervisor cted to go waiting for the chairman to put the motion but they waited in vain. Shortly before six o’clock Chairman Danaher abruptly an nounced that the board was ad journed and left the room, and, it is understood, the building and the city, departing for his home at Tenstrike. The action of Chairman Dana her has created a decided sensa- tion. This is the second time that Mr. Danaher has refused to put a motion offered by one of the members of the board. Meanwhile county business isat a standstill. The matter has been reported to (overnor Johnson and developments are expected. Nobody knows when the next meeting of the board will be held. !!EEI!EWI!HHHKHI: ored Stock.
