Definite Plans Will Be Arranged at Meeting in Blackduck Next Tuesday. A unity of feeling prevailed at the ineeting of delegates from the several cities and towns in- terest>d in wood rates at the Blackduck city hall last night, and arrangements were comples- ed to appeal to the railway offi- cials for a reduction in the rates now charged for carrying cord- wood from northern Minnesota to the western markets, There were seven cities and towns re- presented, being Bemidji, Black- duck, Tenstrike, Turtle River, Northome, Kelliher aud Wilton. Several speeches were made by the representatives, and atter the matter had been discussed thoroughly it was decided that another meeting should be held at Blackduck next Tuesday even- ing, at which delegates from the commercial clubs of the various towns Should arrange definite plans to lay the rate matter be- fore the railway ofticials at St. Paul. The delegates to this meeting will be appointed by the chairman of the several clubs and each committee will consist of either one or two members. At this meeting a committee will be appointed to goto St. Paul, interview represcntatives of the railways and do all in their power to bring about the desired change. Should the railway companies refuse to grant the reduction, the matter will be ap pealed to the railroad and ware- house commission. Those from Bemidji who at- teaded the meeting were John F.
