To date there are some 8,000 men whose applications for citizenship have been Tejected by varlous Justices of the ‘ Supreme Court. Many of them will be eligible to make new requests for ettizenship papers and, barring other abjection:, may take the oath of allegiance to the United Statos. Some have been dented permission to make the application again until two years after their re- Jection, The bara wilh not go down for these.” i Clerks in the Bronx bureau expect this closing year to be the largest in the history of the bureau. There has been a constant flow of applications, and Justices have passed upon from 176 to 300 applications on Friday of each week, which ts the day sect aside there for the hearings.
