Laborers Now Earn Cent an Hour in Germany; Teachers $31.30 Year Theatrical Stars Get 75 Cents a Month and Stagehands Demand $2.40—Doctors Take Other Jobs. BERLIN, Oct. 26 (By mail).—Ordinary laborers in Germany receive @n average of about 100 marks (1 cent) an hour. Wages for an eight- hour day range from 400 to 1,200 marks, making a monthly pay cheok of approximately 9,600 to 31,200. An agreement has been effected whereby shoemakers and cabinetmakers receive from 67.15 to 116.65 marks an hour. The trunkmakers have been striking for an hourly wage of 100 "marks.
