| WHEN HE NAMES ACTRESS Edward ‘J. O'Donnell, Witness, Fined for Resenting Flippant Remark in Court. A row over a complaint which the District Attorney has been asked to present to the Grand Jury charging big moving pleture interests in this city with conspiracy to wreck the United Picture Producing Company, Inc., won for Edward J, O'Donnell of No. 1040 Park Place, Brooklyn, a $26 fine in the Centre Street Police Court this morn- ing and a lecture from Chief Magistrate McAdoo. Attorney Seymour Mork of the Unit- ed, at whose instance O'Donnell was summoned from Chicago to be ques- tioned as to the conspiracy, made a flippant remark about a movie actress during the interrogation of Mr. O’Don- nell by Mr. Kilroe yesterday afternoon. Later, in the whole party descend- 4 to the ground floor and stepped out of the elevator, O'Donnell “busted” At- torney Mork on the nose, O’Donnell was arrested, Magistrate McAdoo told him there was no occasion for @ display of temper. Tt is claimed by Mork, who was for- merly an Assistant District Attorney In the Bronx, that his client bad suffered from the spread of false statements of Hts financial standing. Miss Bertha Rembaugh, who stumbled on Tuesday in the race for one of three First District vacancies in the Muniel- pal Court, came up smiling in the Unit- ed States District Court to-day when Judge Learned Hand conferred upon her the decoration of recelver for # hard- ware and supply company so important that Miss Rembaugh was called upon to furnish a $10,000 bond. The office for which Miss Rembaugh, Republican, ran, will pay $8,000 for: ten- year terms, but the work is extremely confining and not so remunerative as high class receiverships. ee NEW SHERIFF TAKES‘ HOLD.
