© THE NEW PLAYS © “Palmy Days” A Full-Blooded Affair BY CHARLES DARNTON_ | NEW girl of the golden West, Genevive Tobin, came out of the play, A “Palmy Days," at the Playhouse last night, and she was so charm- ing that Wilton Lackaye was left to the task of pulling false whiskers and jokes that went back to the time of Forrest. Now, this play, first of all, is not a play for a “star.” Almost any old actor could act the part given Lackaye. We must grant, however, that \ Mr. Lachaye is actor who knows his business. He proved !t again 4nd again in scenes that suggested the actor who clings to the past.
