HEAY ENCINE CHUSES WAECK Two Coaches, Pullmans and an Express Car on Santa Fe Derailed Near Klondike gl Speclal Dispatch to The Call. SAN BERNARDINO, Feb, 8.—The over- land express on the Santa Fe was wrecked at 2:30 this morning near Klon- No one was hurt. The train was behind time and was running down the grade on lower Horseshoe curve, near Klondike, when the heavy engine broke a rail. The engine did not leave the track, but two Pullmans, two coaches and one express car were derailed. Tne track was blocked and No. 1, the following overland, was held up by the wreck. James Gray is the engineer of the wrecked train. The conductor’s name is Mills. No. 7 is the Santa Fe's fastest express and mall overland. It was due in this city at 3:45 this morning. SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 3.—At the quarterly conference of the Meth- odist church of this city it was unani- mously decided to instruct the build- ing committee of the church to proceed at once with the construction of the new church according to the plans and specifications already adopted. Under this arrangement the foundation for the whole church will be laid and the chapel part of the sacred structure will be erected for Immediate occupancy. Grange Hydraulic Mining Company near Weaver- ville, Trinity County, fell from a height of twenty feet yesterday, rolled down a hill for twenty feet and was pinned to the earth by the pole upon which he had been working and which fell with him.
