Bleckie, an insurance agent of New Orleans, saying his ‘wife and children and grandchildren, numbering fifteen, who were in Galves- ton during the storm, were under one roof when the storm rose. They ran frantically to various places, seeking ref- uge, and became separated. For days each supposed most of the others had lost their lives.
