A*SUICIDE’S LETTER. On Thursday last an italian named Ezakeil Mabarini, a saloon keeper at Clifton, Staten Island, ‘left his home for the purpose of seeing @ lawyer jMamed Greenfield, and was not heard from until ‘Sunday last, wien the following letter, with the Post mark “Fort Lee,” addressed to an aunt of his wife's, in this city, was delivered to Mra. Tabarini. It appears that the unfortunate man was well to do in “Sunny Italy,” and, emigrating to this coun- ‘try some ten years ago, settled on Staten Island, and, together with his young wife, opened a saloon on Bay street. A week or more ago, John Gardner, amantwenty- Seven years of ave, who had been committed to the Workhouse, showing evidences of sickness, was i transferred to the Charity Hospital, and, growing Pked af hed two days subsequently, A post-mortem tion showed that Gardner had an abscess of the forehead and fracture of the skull, which was the cause of death. By whom deceased had been committed, or in what manner he received the fatal injuries, are matters which remains to be de- termined by Coroner Keenan, who has taken cha ofthe case.
