A large number of per- sons were present, lacluding the Belgian Consul and two or thvee Iriends, Captain Irving, cf the de- tectlve force, and Mr. Algernon S. Suilivan, Assis- tant District Attorney, The only witness examined was Mr, Charies Petry, of Philadelphia, proprietor of the hotel at which the prisoner, Vogt, stopped while in that city.
