Obituary. RIGHT REVEREND HENRY USTICK ONDERDONK, D. D., Ex-Bishop of the Protestant Episcopal church for the diocess of Pennsylvania, died at his residence in Pine street, Philadelphia, on the morning of Monday, the 6th instant, of dysentery. He was in the seventieth year of ‘nis age. Bishop Onderdonk was a native of the city of ‘New York, and son of John Onderdonk, M. D., who, for many years, resided in John street, and is remembered ‘vy most of our oldest citizens as a highly respectable practitioner. It was intended that the deceased divine should follow the profession of his father, and for that purpose, having completed his preliminary education here, he was sent to the University of Edinburg, Scotland, where he & raduated in medicize and surgery. Having practised for some time he turned his attention to theo- Jogical pursuits, studied divinity, and was finally ordained a clergyman of the Episcopal church. After a short time hie obtained e. rectorship of St. Joha’s church, Canan- daigua, N.Y.
