With this exception, Western railroad stosks wore moderately buoyant and in active demand. Read- ing was without change, with iarge sales, At thessoond board Cleveland and Toledo and Reading were lower. The former {eli off one-half per cont and the latter three-quarters per cent. Cleveland aud Pittsbug was one-half per cent better, with large transactions. Erie and New York Central closed very firm. ‘The steamship Baltic, from this port for Liverpool, to- Gay, carried out $300,000 in specie. The Lehigh Navigation Company has made {ta first report of shipments. Up to Saturday ‘ast, the 19th instant, its entire coal tonnage was 7,987 tons, against 18,494 tons to the ecd of corresponding week Jaat year. The navigation was some three weeks later closed by ioe this year than last. The Schuylkill Navigation Com- pany transported for the week ending on Thursday last, 33,110 tone of ooal, making for the season 80,790 tons, ageinat 165,478 tons to same time last year.
