Henry Clay, dc. We have received, by the steamship Prometheus, the Diario da la Marina and the Gaceta de la Ha- bana, to the 19th inst.—two days later than those brought by the Ohio. The steamship Faleon left Havana on the 19th, for Chagres, and the Georgia, the same day, for New Orleans. The Isabel arrived from Charleston on the 18th, and would return on the 22d. On Monday, off the Moro, spoke the steam fri- gate Saranac, with the!commodore’s flag flying, and all well. . The news is of little importance. The Flon. Henry Clay arrived at Havana on the Vth inst., in the Georgia, from New York. He took rooms at Madame Almy’s. We learn that Mr. Clay immediately received invitations from the Captain General, Concha, to visit bim at the palace, and from the Conde de Penalver, to attend a grand soirée musicale at his princely residence. Mr. Clay receives the highe# attentions from all classes. All seemed desirous of seeing him. It is Mr. C.’s intention to remain at Havana two or three weeks He will then proceed to New Orleans. It has been decided not to admit foreign gold at Havana at par. On the 17th inst, at three o’clock in the after- noon, the Governor General, Jose de la Concha, gave to the population a magnificent spectacle. It wag a sham fight by all the troops of the garrison. The small army was composed of artillery, cavalry, and infuntry. After having passed in review, the corps were directed to the Castle of Prineipe, whore they formed themselves in order of battle. Then the action commenced, and it was, indeed, an imposing and beautiful sight. In all their manoeuvres, the | men of all arms distinguished themselves by their good order, and a martial air which makes their strength the admiration of all nations. When the battle was finished, the troops defiled before tho Governor General, who appeared quite pleased at their appearance, ‘The numerous persons attracted by this spectacle, gave frequent marks of enthusiasm and admiration, in wituessing the movements of the army to which are confided the most sacred interests of the island and its inhabitants. A grent bull was to be given on the 234 instant, at the Tacon Theatre, for the benefit of the bene- volent society of the natives of Catalo: The Ravels left Havana, by the steamer Falcon, for New Orleans, on the 19th inst.
