Mr. “Webster called upon him to day, and, in behalf of the sovernment, expressed his gratification at his arrival, 9nd boped that his visit would lead to the most inti- anate relations of friendship between the two countries. Amin Bey repiied in the same spirit. Mr. Wobster then accompaniod the Ambassador and ovite te the ospitol, and introduced Awia Bey to Mr, King, Gen. Cass, Mr. Benton, and other Senators. Amin Bey was then conducted to the House of Re- ‘Preseutatives, end introduced to a large number of the members. Dotel with Mr. Glay. and waited upon him at his rooms to-day, accompanied by Mr Brown.
