| ——____] Mistorical {Antsecuces of General Jose Antonio Paes, In the Narrative of the expedition to the rivers Onnoco and Apure, which sailed from England in November, 1817, and joined the patnotic forces in Venezuela: by ¢. Published in London, 1819, on page 387 of the work is the following descriptiou of the person of Gene- ral José Antonio Paez, by Colonel Hippis ey, who Anew the General personal: “ Paez was a manof about lived feet seven iaches high, rather fleshy, plump, round fuce, fair eom- plexion, and most cag possessing cowatenance.
