French People Making Plans to Erect Stadium for 1924 Game. Paris, April 29.—A motion to vote an appropriation of 20,000,000 francs for the purpose of erecting a stadium | in which to hold the 1924 Olympic games, should they be awarded to Paris, will be discussed next week by | the Paris municipal council. The ap- | propriation, it is expected will be yoted by a great majority. The question of a site for the stadium also will be settled. Many have advocated erecting it just outside the Champerett gate in the out: | skirts of the Bols de Boulogne, while | Boulogne itself have been mentioned. TO DEDICATE ARMORY AT ANSONIA ON MAY 6. Ansonia, April 29.—The opening of the new state guard armory in this city has been fixed for Friday evening. | May 6. Governor Lake and staff will be | present with the band of the Fifth regi- ment. Mayor Mead is honorary cap- tain of the company in charge of the opening for which arrangements were expected to be completed at a meeting this afternoon. There will be a short parade, drill and a dance. DESTROYERS ARRIVE. New York, April 20.—Seven destroy- ers, the vanguard of that portion of the Atlantic fleet ordered to New York after the southern manceuvres, arrived ofl| the harbor today, having steamea north after the fleet review off Hamp- ton Roads by President Harding yes- terday.
