Riley Staats, director of District ll. mal Kitty Elias Weds Eric Wasserman Sunday Afternoon Miss Kitty Elias chose an ex- quisite gown of white satin and tulle for her marriage Sunday, October 24 to Eric Wasserman, Kia- mesha Lake, New York. Rabbi Abraham Schwartz of the B'Nai Zion Congregation perform- ed the single ring ceremony in the presence of friends and relatives at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. Given in marriage by her bro- ther, Jack M. Elias, the bride wore a floor length wedding gown fash- ioned with satin bodice trimmed in brocade and rhinestones. The short jacket had matching trim- ming on the lapels. Her full skirt was of sheer nylon tulle over satin, and her fingertip veil was held in place by'a shallow bonnet of tulle. She carried a bou- quet of orchids showered with ste- phanotis. Miss Mae Kaplan was maid of honor and was gowned in pale blue net with silver and blue brocaded bodice worn with matching acces- sories. Her flowers were blue car- nations. Rachelle Elias, the bride’s niece, was junior bridesmaid. She car- ried a pink carnation bouquet matching her pink bengaline sun- back dress worn with bolero jac- ket of lace. Her juliette cap was .also lace. Marlene Elias was flower girl and wore a blue dress styled like the junior bridesmaid’s. Lidwig Bravman was bestman. Groomsmen were Harry Kaplan, Billy Applerough, Herbert Karlin- er and Al Acherstein. Victor Elias was page boy and ushers were David and Ronald Lipshitz. _ A buffet supper in honor of the bridal couple was held at the social hall. Later in the evening Mr. and Mrs. Wasserman left for a wedding trip to Mexico. The bride traveled in a beige | Irish linen suit trimmed in brown brad. She wore brown accessor- les. The young couple will return to Key West about November 15 and will later make their home at Con- cord Hotel, Kiamesha Lake, New York. ‘The bride attended Evelina De- Rothschild High School and Hebrew University in Jersualem, Israel. She is a member of the Junior Hadassa, and was formerly em-| ployed by the City Electric Sys-| tem. Mrs. Olive Saunders, Girl Scout volunteer trainer, explains the difference in the organization of Brownie and Intermediate Troops to some of the new leaders, The classes will be held at the Congregational Church social center on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9 to 11. Due to the election, classes next week will be held on Wednesday and Thursday. BPO Does’ Second Annual Fashion Show Planned For November 13 Mrs. Pearl Reed, general cha irman of the second annual fashion show to be presented by the B. P. 0. Does, met with her committee on Monday night to discuss plans for the event. The fashion show is scheduled for presentation Saturday, Novem- ember 13, at 9 p. m. at the Elks Club Annex. Mrs. Reed told the committee that letters have been written to local women’s organizations, invit- ing them to enter models in the show. All models are to register with the Mar-Ed Shop, Duval St. Mar-Ed has promised a unique show featuring the latest fashions in clothes and jewelry. Mrs. Wilhelmina Harvey will act as commentator for the show. Tickets are available at the Mar- Ed Shop and from members of the Does, as well as at the Elks Club on the night of the event.
