Women Of Church Of The Rock Hold Elections The Women of the Church of the Rock held their monthly meeting in the Chapel, 535 Francis Street, Monday evening. Mrs. Ralph Rog- ers gave the lesson taken from the fourth chapter of James. that the first question asked by the writer was “whence comes wars and fightings?” James seemed to think that lust is the root of all wars and until the spirit of God dwells in-the hearts of men strife and fighting will continue. The speaker urged that all should “draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to thee.” Since the Women’s organization was organized a year ago it was the time for their annual election. Mrs. Richard Evans gave her final report as treasurer showing that the women had spent more than five hundred dollars in equipment during the year and have.a subs- tantial balance to begin the new year. Mrs. Harry Baker, the presi- dent gave a brief report of the work of the women during the past year. Both officers were given a rising vote of thanks for the fine work they have done.
