This is 546 more than the enrollment last year, and the figure is still not com- plete. Full registration will ber, when the number is ex- pected to reach 4,000, O’Bryant said. Largest increase in pu- pils over last year came at Truman where 882 signed up compared with 690 last year. The capacity is only 720 youngsters. O’Bryant Y |has received .an allocation Of $150,000 to. build eight class rooms at Truman. These will not be completed, however, until late next for | spring. Meanwhile as an emergency mea- sure O’Bryant has transferred two Truman classrooms to Harris which was under-enrolied. The children affected by the transfer will be chiefly from Peary Court and the Seaplane base. It will be conven- ient for these pupils because they are closer to Harris, O’Bryant said.
