PAGE EIGHT FOUR PERSONS ~~ PERISH IN FIRE HOME OF J. L. OLIVE IN - ALABAMA TOWN BURNS (By Associated Prexs) PHENIX CITY, Ala., March 12. —Four persons were believed to have perished in a fire which de- stroyed the home of J. L. Olive here early today. Firemen wait- ed for the embers to cool before searching the ruins for bodies, None of the members of the family have been seen since the blaze. Neighbors said the Olives had been seen in the house shortly after dark last night. The fire had enveloped the whole struc- ture before discovered by a brake- men on a passing freight train, who turned in the alarm: When firemen arrived the, roof had collapsed. Olive was about fifty years of age, and his wife was somewhat older and an invalid, it was said. They had two children, a boy of 1 years and ‘girl 13. All were said to have been at home. Phenix City is situated across the Chattahoochee River from Columbus, Ga. The Columbus fire department sent equipment to help fight the flames, ° P. & O. 8. S. Governor Cobb, Capt. J.
