The bridge prizes were won by Mrs. F. Holtsberg and Mrs. Frank Lewinsky. Dinner was served after bridge in the Hotel La Concha dining room. The guests present were: Mrs. Ben Reichlin, Mrs. J. G. YACHT PAWNEE ARRIVES IN PORT VESSEL TIES UP TO PORTER DOCK COMPANY’S WHARF The yacht Pawnee came into port this morning, docking at the. Porter Dock Company. Coal and supplies were taken on prepara- tory to the boat’s departure for the Gulf of California. Harry Payne Bingham, sports- man and scientist, owner of the Pawriee, is expected in a day or two to board this boat, which has been waiting for him for several weeks. Mr. Bingham was recent- ly granted a divorce in Paris from his wife. Henry Mowbray of the New York aquarium is accompanying Mr. Bingham on this expedition to secure material. on oceanography for a scientific publication. Let the Artman Press do your printing. Judge Jefferson B. Browne an- nounces that he has called a spe- cial term of the circuit court for the twentieth cireuit to convene on .the morning of March 29 at the county courthouse in Key West. : There is one capital case and quite a large civil docket awaiting a@ term of court. Judge Browne says, and that he considered that “the public welfare and the cause of justice” required the calling of a special term. The “capital case” referred to in Judge Browne’s announcement is evidently the Arthur Baker ease, in which the people of Key West are intensely interested. This special term will bring the case to trial practically a month sooner than if it had to await the date of the regular term. INTERESTING NOTES Cornelius Hunt of Evansville, Ind., claimed an amputated leg found by police, who suspected a murder had been committed.
