NEW YORK, October 20.—Ameri- | can Radiator & Standard Sanitary Corp. and subsidiaries, for the nine months ended September 30, today reported net profit of $6,537,000 before the Federal undistributed profits sur- tax, equal, after preferred dividend requirements, to 63 cents a common share. This compares with net profit of $4,544,000, or 42 cents a common share, in the like 1936 period. Sales for the nine months were $114,380,000, against $91,201,000 in the correspond- ing period last year. Howe Sound Co. Howe Sound Co., lead. zinc and silver producer, with properties in Canada and Mexico, reported net profit for the quarter ended September 30 of $1.- 043,685 before depletion and Federal surtax, equal to $2.20 a share on the capital stock. This compared with $1.174.371, or $248 a share, in the preceding quarter and $625241, or $132 a share, the September quarter last year. Household Finance. Household Finance Co. of Chicago for the nine months ended September | 30 reported a net profit of $4,683,666, equal to $5.75 a share, which com- pared with $3,815,180 and $4.50 for the same period of 1936. United Biscuit. United Biscuit Co. of America re- ported net profit for the quirter ended September 30 of $272,519 before the Federal surtax, equal after preferred dividend requirements to 54 cents a | common share.
