Browning, despite a State law making the Confederate Decoration day a legal holiday. The Tennessee executive expressed the belief the Memorial day holiday was sufficient for one week, though the United Daughters of the Confederacy disagreed with him. The Elliott Grays Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy will sponsor exercises tonight in the historic old Virginia hall of the House of Delegates here, where eight descend- ants of Confederate veterans will re- ceive crosses of honor and military crosses.
