B3 the Assoctated Press. NEW YORK, April 16—Prices fell Back in the Curb market today, with the majority off fractions. A number of issues broke out of the narrow range to register wide swings, mostly on the downside, late in the session. Off 1 to 2 points were Hum- ble Oil, Hoe & Co., Tubize Chatillon, Pittsburgh Plate Glass and Montgom- ery Ward “A.” Aluminum Co. de- clined roughly 3 and Newmont Mining dropped a bit more than that. Counter swings were made by Gulf Oil, up more than 1, and New York Steam, up more than 5. DETROIT, April 16.—Cram's Re- poms, Inc., estimated today that this week’s output of the motor car plants would total 124970 cars and trucks, compared with its revised estimate of 99,196 units last week. For the com- parable week a year ago Cram’s listed production at 119,834. It placed last week's Chrysler as- semblies, the first since the recent strike, at 22,200 cars and trucks. Gen- eral Motors was estimated at 52,155, against 51,525, and Ford unchanged at 34,850, Ward's Reports estimated this week’s assemblies at 127,755, which it said was & few hundred above the year's peak levels. OTTAWA, Ontario, April 16.—The Dominion Bureau of Statistics estie mated today the stocks of wheat re- maining in Canada at the end of March were 118,005.450 bushels, com= pared to 246,797,301 bushels a year ago. The 1937 figure was the lowest since 1922. Stocks of oats, barley and rye also were lower than a year ago, while the supply of flaxseed was slightly higher. Stocks of wheat on farms, including seed supplies, amounted to 46,931,000 —New York | bushels, which is slightly higher than the 1936 figure of 4 4,000.
