Knopp, for many years & prominent real estate operator and builder in the Langdon and Wood- ridge section, died Monday of pneu- monh in Sibley Hospital. in Indiana in 1864, Mrs. Knanp came here as & bride in 1893. For many years she was identified with civic affairs and religious activi- ties in the Langdon and Woodridge section. Recently her home had been at 3813 Twenty-eighth street, Mount Rainier, Md. She had been active in the Sher- wood Presbyterian Church, the North- east Suburban Wcwen's Christian Temperance Union and the Wood- ridge Garden Club. Surviving are her husband, now a vice president of the Northeast Build- ing Assoclation, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Mooney, Brooke, Ind. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Sherwood Church, with the Rev. Thomas Law Coyle officiating. The body will lie in state in the church from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral. Burial will be in Fort Lincoln Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Sawyer, Judgee Gus A. MISS EMILY .S MOORE DIES AT HOME HERE Resident of Washington for 40 Years Was Native of New Jersey. Miss Emily Salter Moore, 88, died Monday at her home, 1851 Columbia road. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. today at the residence, and the body was to be taken to Philadelphia for burial tomorrow. Miss Moore, a resident of Wash- ington for 40 years, was born in Eliza- beth, N. J,, and spent the first part of her life in Williamsport, Pa. Her paternal grandfather was Right Rev. Richar¢g Channing Moore, first Epis- copal Bishop of Virginia. Miss Moore, a member of St. Mar- garet’s Episcopal Church, is survived by a sister, Miss Virginia Moore, 92, of Washington; two nephews, G. Be- dell Moore, San Antonio, Tex., and Grant H. Mr. Smith died Monday at his home, 1313 Rhode Island avenue, after a short illness. A resident of this city since he was 16 years old, he estab- lished the storage business and built it up to its present proportions. Earlier, he began in the commission business here with a capital of only $5 borrowed from a friend. After this, he was for 20 years in the flour and feed business at Fifth and K streets.
