A—4 MEN LOST N BAY HUNTED BY PLANE Coast Guard Flyers to Aid Patrol Boat in Con- tinued Search. A Coast Guard airplane left Cape May, N. J, today to ald in a search for two Washington men believed to have drowned in Chesapeake Bay last Saturday when the 34-foot sloop Ranger capsized. Coast Guard headquarters here said the plane will aid Patrol Boat 128. Smaller vessels were helping to search the isles and inlets near Kent Island. Little hope was held, however, for re- covery of the bodies. ‘The missing men were Glenn War- ner, 28, Boulevard apartments, 2121 New York avenue, chief of publica- tions and statistics, Bureau of Marine Inspection and Navigation, Commerce Department, and Howard Ralph, 31, of 3618 Rittenhouse street, also an employe of the bureau and son of the late Joseph E. Ralph, former director of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The catastrophe, of which J. Chase McKenzie, 35, of 1515 Twentieth street, owner of the craft, was the only survivor, also took the life of | Edward Winkler, 28, likewise of the Boulevard, Winkler's body was found in the rigging, where he apparently had become exhausted and drowned after a night of clinging to the cap- sized sloop with his companions. McKenzie, senior examiner of the Bureau of Marine Inspection and Nav- igation, swam ashore. He was recov- ering from exhaustion and exposure today in the hospital at Easton, Md. The body of Winkler was to be taken today to his native home in Portland, Oreg., for burial. He is| survived by his widow, Mrs. Margaret R. Winkler.
