NEW YORK, September 11.—A few shares jumped sharply out of a trad- Ing rut in the curb market today. ‘Western Maryland soared about 10, New England Telephone was up around 7 and Moore Corp., Ltd., rose 3 points or so. Issues up fractions to a point or more included Aluminum Co. of America, Gulf Oil, Commonwealth Edison, Pan-American Airways and Pennsylvania Salt. Off fractions to about a point were American Cyanamid “B,” Bunker Hill & Sullivan, Creole Petroleum, Mont- gomery Ward “A” and Sunshine Mining. NEW YORK, September 11.—Bol stered by the $55,000,000 New York State flotation, new bond offerings for the week ended September 10 totaled $62,279,973, compared with $80,018,200 in the preceding period and $35,753,000 in the corresponding week a year ago, a special survey by Poor’s Publishing Co. revealed today. Municipal loans floated increased to $58433,000 from $51,335,000 the week before and compared with $14,- 303,000 in the like 1935 period. Industrial company obligations offered aggregated $1,250,000, the same as in the 1935 period. There were no loans of this type in the September 3 week this year. Miscellaneous offerings totaled $250,« 000, compared with none in the pree ceding week and $300,000 a year ago. No public utility bond financing was recorded, while the week before such offerings totaled $28,000,000 and a year ago $19,900,000.
