Clark, national commander of the Crusaders, will make two more appeals to members of the radio au- dience to register and vote in the coming elections when he speaks from the studios of WHK, Cleveland, to- night and Thirsday, July 30, from 9:45 to 10 o'clock. The talks will be along the general lines of one he made | over the network on July 1 and are to be non-partisan. WJSV will carry the program locally. * ek ok the “Flying Red Horse Tavern” program, will celebrate her birthday with & party tonight as a feature of her weekly appearance over WJSV. Guests at the party will be all the stars of the Tavern program, includ- ing Walter Woolf King, Lennie Hay- ton and his orchestra, the Tavern Singers, Four Red Horsemen and Rhythm Kings. Each will bring a musical offering. One of the features of the program will be a duet by King and Miss Marsh, “Another Candle cn Your Birthday Cake.” “Another Mile,” latest composition of the well-known theatrical producer, Billy Rose, will feature the Tavern Singers and or- chestra. Fay on his broadcast tonight at 7:30 o'clock over WMAL. Miss Vinson arrived from Europe this week on the liner Normandie. She is scheduled to tell Fay just how her husband defeated Baron von Cramm for the unofficial world cham- pionship at the Wimbledon tourna- ment recently., It is expected, how- ever, that the program will develop into something of a story-telling sen- sation, since Fay is considered no mean tennis player himseli. GUAYMUS, Sonora, Mexico, July 17 (#)—The commander of the Sacra- mento, an American vessel, reported to Mexican authorities today that he had encountered pirates in the Gulf of California. The ship captain informed port authorities that a group of pirates, armed with swords and fishing knives, attempted to board his vessel in Kino Bay.
