Miss Ella Loraine Dorsey, 82, a na- tive of Washington and prominent in literary and civic circles, died yester- day at her home, 1835 Phelps place, after a long illness. Employed at the Patent Office li- brary, Miss Dorsey had contributed frequently to Washington newspapers and written a number of books on life in the Capital. Her literary and civic activities were continued until a short time ago when interrupted by failing health. M. Bennett of Washington and Sister Stephanie of the Dominican Order, Columbus, Ohio. STANTON, FORMER BAKER, DIES Funeral Rites Will Be ‘Held at St. Matthias’ Church, Capitol Heights, Tomorrow. Joseph F. Stanton, 61, who for several years conducted a bakery busipess at 1425 H street northeast, died at Providence Hospital yesterday following a short illness. Funeral services will be held at the P. J. Saf- fell funeral home at 9 a.m. tomorrow, followed by requiem high mass at St. Matthias Church, Capitol Height, Md., at 10 am. Mr. Stanton entered the bakery business here with his father when he was a young man. His father, the late Patrick Stanton, was head baker at the Naval Academy at one time. Mr. and Mrs. Stanton recently moved 1o Capitol Heights, living at 310 Wey- nook avenue, Besides his widow, Mr. Stanton is survived by three children, Joseph F., jr.; Thomas C. and Gertrude A.; a sister, Mrs. Michael J.
